Station Pass vs. Whatnot

In case anyone was wondering:

They upped the price of the station pass. It's now $30/mo. Pretty much the same as if you paid for EQ1 and EQ2 separately anyhow.

However, there are some differences. If you have the pass u can also play their other mmo games, you get 4 extra slots in EQ2 and 2 in EQ1, and you also get all the add on packs in EQ2. Add on packs are different from expansions, and are pretty much lil add on zones that are normally $5 or so if you choose to buy...

Chase the Rainbow

Have you ever been in a zone and seen a rainbow looking thing coming up from the ground and wondered wtf is that?

Well, just like in RL lore, they say u can find treasure at the end of the rainbow. To attempt to search for treasure you will need scrying stones. These stones can be bought at the Nektulos docks by the lizard kinda near the mailbox if you're evil, or in Thundering Steppes by a ratonga hiding on the side of a building on the docks for good characters.

They cost...

Question on macros

The new help system is a lil messed up for me and having trouble finding what I want there now.

Does anyone know how to create buttons/macros where you can do things like an inc message? Though you can see what the person has targeted if you're targeting them, it would be fun and add to the play I think if my chars could say certain things at the push of a button.

It would also make it easier to show people what's on a corpse they haven't checked yet since I still haven't...

/Assist

For those that don't know, there is no need to create an assist button in EQ2. Simply target the person you wish to assist and any beneficial spells cast go to them, and detrimental ones go to the mob they are on. Really useful for healers and such.

Invis

Invis works a lil differently in EQ2. There are no separations for Invis, Invis vs. undead, etc that I have seen, but rather the one you get covers them all.

To see if a mob sees through invis, move your cursor over the mob until it's name appears. If it's name is surrounded in red, it can see you and is hostile. Please note that I have found that it takes a second or two after you invis for you actually to be invis and the red highlight to be gone.
<div...

As Bara pointed out, it's always a good idea to hold onto rares and harvested items even from the beginning to sell to other players. It's a great way to make some starting money in game for armor and such.

Also, to move onto to another tier of harvesting you must first reach a certain level at the one before. IE you cannot harvest from Nektulos until you reach a skill of 90. There are quests that use harvesting skills as well so be sure to keep your skills capped each time you...

In EQ2 you can still use /loc to find out where you are. On some websites locs are given for mobs or places. Rather than using the traditional way of constantly doing /loc to see if you're getting close do this instead --

/waypoint loc

Example: /waypoint -132, 12, 342

What this will do is put a dot on the map where the loc is (if there is a map for that zone) and it will give you a trail to it if you're close enough. If you're not close enough for a trail, or there...
